I have been on this scholarly journey for quite some time prior to years of service as a public school educator. Learning and being at the heart of community is where I have always thrived. Although the highlight of my work has focused on community engagement and adult learners, I have an affinity for educational spaces that are engaging through culture, leadership and creativity. This can be an environment where students (teams) lead projects, or an institution that empowers its community to shape its own learning. To me, this is supportive leadership. I believe community will continue to be at the heart of what I do: through listening, understanding, and serving.
